Mothers can work now without any tension, children are not n If children were left at home they would be isolated or would stay on roads, many problems might happen. In this way they are benefitted, contributing in the development of their families, community, society and the country |
Major Achievements | Phulki has become a brand in the domain of child care provision through its intense expertise in advocacy and capacity building
✓203 children were enrolled in school and madrasa in 201. ✓ Dropout rate from school has reduced and children from day care centers are doing better in school ✓ Special need children (children with speech disorder and late child) can express their needs with the support of our centers activity ✓ Job opportunity has been created for many women from the community as center caregivers and teachers ✓ Father’s role has been taken into account which is a major part of early develpment of any child and therefore Phulki has introduce father’s session. Its a quaterly meeting done with the father’s where the child’s development is discussed. FAther’s involvement and how it is beneficial is communicated to raise their awareness and make them more active in the child’s life. ✓ for pre-primary students we have taken initiative to give them hometask and also gave out books and copies with a school bag, this was to make the children more interested in academic area and also prepare them for the main dtrem school. ✓ Our centers each a have mini library. Books are not only read with children in the centers but also encouraged to take back home to read at home with their family. We have community volunteers who comes once a week to read to children. Currently we have 609 members of the libaray and 20 volunteers who comes in to help with the reading for children activity. ✓ mothers sending their children are given regular support and awareness regarding nutrition, diseases and childrights, hygien and more through mother’s meeting once a month. ✓ Safe guard policy training has been completed among the teachers and caregivers and also community members. ✓ currently working on advocacy with factories, school and community to make the centers self sutained. |
