Short Description:

Phulki supervises the work of caregivers by visiting the daycare centers weekly and providing age-appropriate curricula. Phulki also ensures hygiene standards at the center by conducting awareness development sessions with mothers and caregivers once a month.

Achievement Stories / Case Studies:

Challenge with Daycare Center Ventilation:

In one of the factories, the daycare center lacked adequate ventilation. To address this, management installed industrial exhaust fans. However, the fans created excessive noise, which made it difficult for caregivers and children to communicate effectively. The loud noise also affected the children’s ability to hear and respond to instructions, impacting the quality of engagement in the center.

Furthermore, the size of the daycare center meant that the fans didn’t circulate air effectively throughout the space, which limited the fans’ overall efficiency.

Solution:

The project team is working on improving the ventilation further, ensuring both comfort and a conducive learning environment for the children while maintaining safe levels of sound.

Positive Outcome:

The most positive outcome of the Daycare Center (Bestseller) project was the successful renovation of the daycare center into a fully furnished, well-equipped space. Initially, the factory management was hesitant about investing in necessary improvements, particularly in the area of ventilation and environmental comfort. However, through persistent efforts by Phulki and the ongoing dialogue with management, the factory leadership came to realize the importance of these upgrades for the well-being of the children and caregivers.

As a result, the daycare center is now a more comfortable, safe, and engaging environment for the children. This transformation has not only improved the overall learning and care experience for the children but has also positively impacted the caregivers. The upgrades have fostered a space where the children can develop more effectively and feel secure, contributing to better social, emotional, and cognitive outcomes.

This achievement underscores the importance of collaboration between factory management, Phulki, and the community to create a conducive environment that benefits both workers and their children.
