Amader Kotha (Alliance Worker Helpline) is a new, innovative approach to problem solving in the Bangladesh Ready-Made Garments sector. Amader Kotha‟s communication channel for workers is a business intelligence tool for managers that can save lives and protect property. It relies on the simple use of mobile phone technology. Amader Kotha is a project of the Alliance for Bangladesh Worker Safety

3. Clear operating protocols
Amader Kotha teams meet with factory management to introduce the Helpline and to create a plan for informing workers that does not interrupt production.Workers are given the Amader Kotha number and informed that they can use it to report concerns about safety or other matters. When workers report concerns, Amader Kotha representatives create reports and notify factory managers so the information can be verified and actions can be taken as needed.
4. Technology-driven solution
Provides an opportunity for workers to use mobile phone technology to report safety and other concerns. Workers can complete brief surveys on their phones to provide additional information about the effectiveness of the Helpline system.

Recently in Bangladesh some hazardous incident took place at RMG Sector, at the garments factory named Tazrin Fashion and Rana Plaza. These were the most painful tragedy that ever happened in Bangladesh.
At least 1200 workers were killed in those incidents. Obviously we do not prefer being in the risk just for survival. We should take steps to preventincidents and not let them to repeat again, as it is our moral responsibility. For the above reason North American 26 leading brands structured „ALLIANCE FOR BANGLADESH WORKERS SAFETY‟. Hence „ALLIANCE AMADER KOTHA HELPLINE‟ is a program of „ALLIANCE FOR BANGLADESH WORKERS SAFETY‟. Three Organization dhesions are implementing the project „ALLIANCE AMADER KOTHA HELPLINE‟ (Phulki, Clear Voice, and Good World Solution).
AMADER KOTHA is a Workers‟ HELPLINE where the factory workers can report or share the factories safety issues as well as other concerns. Helpline Representative share the issues raised by the worker with the factory management and plays an important role to wind up the raised concerns. And on the basis of the concerns the issues are being passed to the ALLIANCE and respected Brands.
AMADER KOTHA is the promising Helpline where the worker can inform any kind of issues about safety, security and take the right decision in right time. AMADER KOTHA HELP LINE is a reliable and effective reporting channel where the workers can keep their identity secret and report their concern. In our country sometimes management intentionally ignore small as well as big risk(s) that may occur and causes general workers‟ death. For the reason incident(s) can happen and many workers could be killed. Within the last few years in the RMG sector of Bangladesh such several incidents happened. If we could be more conscious about the risks then the accidents may not be occurred and the workers wouldn‟t have to give away their precious lives. At present the
workers can call to the ALLIANCE AMADER KOTHA HELPLINE directly through the mobile and inform about any kind of risks of the factory and the HELPLINE representative takes initiatives instantly by informing factory management and ALLIANCE to fix the problem. Besides this other issues also forms in the factory and generally these are not solved by the management. So ultimately the situation turn into a bigger issues or might be causes of worker unrest. But at present the workers can share their concerns at initial level to AMADER KOTHA and the Helpline representative informs the factory management so that the issues are being solved. That is why AMADER KOTHA HELPLINE is a rational initiative.
